Youth Education

PBGC partnered with Ocean State Community Wellness to offer children aged 3-7 the hands-on experience and education of growing food, flowers, herbs, creating fairy gardens and so much more.

PBGC club members also conducted a variety of youth education programs at the North Kingstown Library, as well as working with faculty and students at Davisville  Middle School to revitalize and renovate the Courtyard Garden.

 Art in Bloom

Plum Beach Garden Club hosted an afternoon of local art and floral arrangements for the community to enjoy. The event featured more than two dozen stunning displays, each pairing a work of art with the imaginative floral arrangement that it inspired.

Regional and local artists— including

students from Wickford Middle

School—created the artwork, while

members of many garden clubs and

professional designers created the interpretive floral designs. Proceeds benefited the PBGC Scholarship Fund.

Plum Beach Garden Club is pleased to honor Fiona Dell’Antonio as this year’s URI scholarship recipient. Fiona (pictured center) is a plant science major focusing on native plant and pollinator interactions, and native bee conservation. Congratulations on the $2,500 award!
